How do I place an order online?

Ordering is easy and convenient! Simply select your turnaround speed, provide us with a relevant description of your document, and then upload your document. Then you will be taken to our contact and billing information page. After entering the necessary information, click the confirm order button and you're finished.

Can I place orders by phone?

We accept phone orders at 888-833-8385. Our customer service specialists are available Sun.-Thurs. 8 a.m. to midnight CT and Fri.-Sat. 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT to answer your questions. We'd love to talk to you! We accept orders online 24/7.

Can you "rush" my order?

We accept orders online 24/7, and we offer as fast as 30-to-60-minute turnaround for small documents. If you need your order before the turnaround time you selected, please call customer service at 888-833-8385 during live customer service hours. Our live customer service hours are Sun.-Thurs. 8 a.m. to midnight CT and Fri.-Sat. 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT. We will do everything we can to accommodate your request.

Can I get a sample edit?

Yes, our free sample edit will show you how ProofreadingPal's two proofreader model can improve your writing. ProofreadingPal will provide a free sample on half of your document (up to 400 words). What are my payment options?

Orders can be placed online using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. We also accept PayPal. All prices are listed on our website, and our order pages are in US dollars.

How does ProofreadingPal edit Microsoft Word documents?

For Microsoft Word documents, we return two versions of your completed document to you. The first, marked “showing markup,” is a complete record of every change we made to your document using the Track Changes feature. The second, marked “all changes accepted,” is a clean version for your convenience, with those changes implemented and only comments remaining.

How does ProofreadingPal edit PDF documents?

When a document is in PDF, we use the editing tools to simulate Track Changes and also write out each revision in the pop-up note associated with each correction. PDFs are essentially images of document pages and cannot be edited directly. The expectation is that the author will use our marked-up PDF as a reference when making edits to their master copy of the document in the software used to create the document.

How can I correctly view the proofreaders’ edits to my PDF document?

To view the revisions, download the document to your computer. Open Adobe Reader and use the Open File function to view the file in the reader program. Do not view the file from the email link. It will not display correctly in a browser window. You must open the file using Adobe Reader (not Preview if you’re using a Mac) to view the edits properly. If you do not have Adobe Reader, it’s free to download here: https://get.adobe.com/reader/

If you hover your cursor over any edit, a little pop-up box that contains the proofreaders’ comments or suggestions appears on your screen.

Do you charge sales tax?

No, we do not charge sales tax.

Do you have a minimum order or word count requirement?

ProofreadingPal has no minimum requirement for the number of words in your document. However, we do have minimum order charges starting as low as $6.97 for 7-day turnaround.

Why do you ask for my birth date?

We use your birth date as the password for you to use to download your document when your order is complete. We also use your birth date so that we can send you a Happy Birthday message on your birthday!

Will I get an email confirmation after I place my order?

Yes, you will immediately receive an email confirmation of your order.

Will you notify me when my document is ready?

Yes, you will receive an email as soon as your order is completed.

How do I make changes or cancel my order?

Please verify your order confirmation immediately upon receipt to verify the details of your order. You may make changes or cancel your order as long as the order is not in processing. We strongly suggest you speak with a customer service representative as soon as possible with changes or cancellations so we can accommodate your request without any additional charges. Live customer service hours are Sun.-Thurs. 8 a.m. to midnight CT and Fri.-Sat. 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT at 888-833-8385. If an order is in processing, no changes can be made.

How long before I receive my refund?
